Join us (Heather and Marc) for an "Active Galapagos" expedition on the 14 passenger Samba.  We're offering you a full-on exposure to what Galapagos is all about.  The Samba has a reputation for going "all the way" - ensuring you get the opportunity to experience the most and the best of what this first ever site to be inscribed on the World Heritage list has to offer. 

You should be OK getting up early, and getting off the ship as often as possible, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle-boarding and going on leisurely hikes (of course - you can choose to relax on board any time).  You should also be OK with  some moments of awe and discovery, wonder, amazement and, of course, a few good laughs and great camaraderie. 

The 12 night / 13 day trip consists of the following elements:

  • 2 nights in Quito pre-cruise with a Quito City day tour (World Heritage city) / stay at the lovely boutique "Mama Cuchara" arts hotel
  • Domestic flights to Galapagos
  • 7 nights aboard the Samba
  • 2 nights post cruise to unwind in the town of Puerto Ayora Galapagos / stay in the comfotable Ikala boutique hotel

Just about everything is included, except for personal expenses (alcohol), tips, park fee, a few meals (budget an additional +/- US$700/person)

We're back and had a simply extraordinary time. Thank you. Everything was quite wonderful.  I expected to be wowed by the scenery and the animals.  But what I didn't expect was how much we enjoyed "living" on the boat.  The staff was terrific in every way.  We can't imagine a nicer and so incredibly informed guide as Fausto.  And  all are fellow travelers were a delight.
