The Beluga is a classic, steel-hulled motor yacht offering intimate expedition cruises for a maximum of 16 guests. Measuring approximately 34 metres (110 feet) long and seven metres (23 feet) wide, she has the solid proportions and traditional profile of an oceangoing yacht. Her twin diesel engines provide a cruising speed of about 12 knots, while bilge keels help reduce rolling in open water.

Originally built in Germany in 1968, Beluga has undergone substantial rebuilding, refurbishment and modernization during her long career. Although she retains the character of a traditional motor vessel, her mechanical systems, safety equipment and guest facilities have been updated for expedition cruising in the Galápagos. The result is a well-established vessel valued more for sturdy construction, space and character than for ultra-modern styling.

CABINS

Accommodation is provided in eight individually configured, air-conditioned cabins, generally comprising seven double-occupancy cabins and one cabin that can accommodate three guests. Cabins have private bathrooms with hot-and-cold-water showers, electronic safes and practical storage space. Bed arrangements vary by cabin and include matrimonial beds, side-by-side lower berths and, in some cases, upper and lower berths.

PUBLIC SPACES

The yacht’s social areas include an air-conditioned salon and dining room with large panoramic windows, as well as generous exterior deck space. Guests can relax in covered or open-air seating areas on the upper deck, which also provide excellent vantage points for observing wildlife and the surrounding islands. Additional amenities include complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi, kayaks, snorkeling equipment and wetsuits, making Beluga a comfortable and practical base for an active Galápagos expedition.
