Our trips to Madagascar are planned towards the end of the dry season, when conditions are more comfortable (less oppressively hot and humid) and rural roads less likely to be washed out.   October - November also coincides with the courtship and nesting seasons for many bird species, and when lemurs and reptiles have their young.
