KEEP ME POSTED ON YOUR 2027 TRIP
We know Provence quite intimately. While one could be tempted to visit there any time of year, we chose the end of September / early October as a good time to experience this beautiful part of the world for the following reasons:
- Just after the very hot summers - temperatures in the day should be very comfortable.
- Just after the high season - Provence is a very popular destination, and overtourism can undermine one's enjoyment of the region's attractions.
- Just at the tail end of the "vendanges". All the wineries will be coming off the most hectic time of the year, but will still smell of fermenting grapes.
- Fruit and vegetable markets will still have a very nice range of ocal produce on display.
- Still in the daylight savings time, with the sun setting at about 7:30PM, making for more pleasant evenings.
